Concrete Supervisor

Maxwell Construction is seeking a skilled Concrete Foreman to oversee the placement of forms, installation of reinforcing steel, and pouring of concrete on our construction sites.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure that concrete is mixed according to specifications by reading and interpreting specifications sheets.
- Inspect bracing and shoring of concrete forms to guarantee their stability before and during pouring.
- Train new workers and provide guidance on safe working practices.
- Coordinate the use of cranes, paving machines, and other equipment to facilitate the conveying of concrete from the mixer to the forms.
- Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Must be able to read safety rules, instructions in the use and maintenance of shop tools and equipment, and methods and procedures in mechanical drawing and layout work.
- Knowledge of trade tools, equipment, materials, methods, and techniques is essential.
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment by complying with government standards and legal regulations.
- Responsible for the health and safety of others.
- Must be capable of exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
- Maintain physical strength and stamina.
- Climb and maintain balance on scaffolds and ladders.
- Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch for extended periods of time as required to perform duties.
- May work outside and be exposed to weather.
- Wear protective or safety equipment, i.e. safety boots/shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats.
- May be exposed to high levels of noise, grease, dust, and a variety of substances that are typically associated with a construction site.
