Client Overview

Our client is a prominent national builder and developer, focusing on garden-style multifamily construction. With over 50 years of experience, they maintain a robust presence in the Southeast and consistently manage multiple projects at various stages of development.

They are currently looking for a Lead Superintendent to join their team, with initial projects located in the Southeastern region. This role presents a unique chance to be part of a reputable firm with a strong project pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

The Superintendent will be tasked with:

  • Overseeing daily construction operations and ensuring quality control among subcontractors.
  • Coordinating field activities across trades to ensure timely and profitable project completion in compliance with contract specifications and safety regulations.
  • Communicating pertinent project information effectively to management.
  • Participating in weekly meetings with subcontractors and project stakeholders.
  • Monitoring safety protocols on-site.
  • Tracking workforce and preparing daily reports.
  • Assisting in quality control measures.
  • Managing field office documentation.
  • Creating look-ahead schedules.
  • Overseeing site deliveries.
  • Ensuring all materials and installations comply with approved submittals and contract documents.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the multifamily sector is essential.
  • Experience leading at least 3 multifamily projects is required.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the construction process from inception to completion, including civil works.
  • Knowledge of scheduling, estimating, and cost management principles.
  • Familiarity with project management software.
  • A professional demeanor with sound judgment.
  • A self-motivated, results-driven attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Effective time management skills, adaptability to manage multiple priorities, and meticulous attention to detail.

Compensation and Benefits

The Superintendent will receive:

  • A competitive base salary, commensurate with experience, typically ranging from $130,000 to $160,000.
  • A vehicle allowance.
  • Per diem for travel expenses.
