Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Associate Professor in the non-tenure research track to join our team at the University of Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will have a strong background in human genetics and a proven track record of research and scholarship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead collaborative and independent research programs in human genetics
  • Co-supervise postdoctoral fellows, students, and other trainees
  • Coordinate NIH-funded grant efforts with local, national, and international collaborators
  • Lead grant writing efforts and develop research proposals
  • Contribute to the development of research staff and trainees
Requirements
  • Ph.D. degree in human genetics or a related field
  • Substantial experience in human genetics research
  • Track record of publication and good communication skills
  • Funding track record
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in computational biology, statistical genetics, population genetics, biomedical informatics, or other related areas
  • Experience in grant writing and research proposal development
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills
