Role Overview:

  • Implement the preventative maintenance program for mechanical and electromechanical systems.
  • Safely install, troubleshoot, clean, inspect, and maintain mechanical equipment throughout the facility.
  • Initiate and complete work orders efficiently.
  • Document critical information on a regular basis.
  • Respond to emergency repair needs during off-hours.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment issues.
  • Perform maintenance tasks, including inspecting and lubricating machinery, identifying and replacing worn components, and tracking conveyor systems.
  • Operate various equipment, including industrial forklifts and mobile machinery.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance equipment operation knowledge and repair skills.
  • Adhere to OSHA regulations and safety procedures.
  • Maintain consistent attendance in line with company policies and legal standards.
  • Adapt to changing responsibilities based on business requirements.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to operate shop-powered equipment safely.
  • Understanding of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with large machinery.
  • Aptitude for troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment problems.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a dynamic environment both independently and as part of a team.
  • Electrical knowledge to assess circuit issues and motor wiring.
  • Basic fabrication skills for creating simple components.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, along with a trade school diploma/certificate or an associate degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of three years of related experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics and technical manuals.
  • Manual dexterity for safe tool operation.
  • Flexible availability for shifts and overtime as needed.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
