Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and courteous Server to join our team at Everlanliving. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional table service to our residents, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet residents as they are seated and ensure their table is clean and prepared.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with residents and their representatives.
- Distribute menus and present daily specials.
- Take food and beverage orders and deliver them to the kitchen.
- Deliver food, beverages, and other requested items to residents in a timely and courteous manner.
- Keep the Executive Chef informed of any unusual incidents or issues.
- Prepare for service by setting up and sanitizing the dining room, meal trays, and food carts.
- Serve meals, beverages, and snacks in a timely and appealing manner.
- Attend to residents' requests and remove used items and trash during the meal.
- Clear tables and trays promptly after the resident leaves.
- Maintain the dining room and supplies in a safe, neat, and orderly manner.
- Store supplies in a safe and sanitary manner.
- Ensure the dining room and supplies are prepared and ready for the next meal.
- Closing the dining room at the conclusion of operation.
- Assist with daily cleaning duties, such as sweeping, dishwashing, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing, etc.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be of legal age to sell and/or serve alcohol per state and/or local laws.
- One year of dining service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws for alcohol service and consumption.
- Hospitality-oriented with excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency with POS software, applications, and basic typing skills.
- Flexibility with schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must enjoy working with the senior population.
- First Aid/CPR certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of dietary accommodations preferred.
- Approved criminal background check, physical, and drug screen required.
