Seeking a Child Assessment Expert for Pediatric Psychological Services

Cook Children's Medical Center offers a unique opportunity for a Pediatric Psychological Specialist to join our team in pediatric psychological assessment. This independent post-doctoral fellowship training site provides 40 hours of clinical service per week, with one day dedicated to report-writing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive outpatient psychological evaluations for children and adolescents with various medical diagnoses and neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • Consult with psychiatry, psychology, neurology, and developmental pediatrics clinicians.
  • Provide comprehensive feedback to families and assist in case management when necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. or Psy.D in Psychology from an APA-accredited clinical psychology training program.
  • Training in child growth and development required.
  • Prior experience in pediatric settings preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a desire to develop outstanding leadership skills.
  • Demonstrate commitment to high standards of patient care and customer relations practice.
Licensure and Certification:
  • Texas Provisionally Licensed Psychologist desired but not required.
  • Must have educational background and training to function as a psychological extender of services under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist as defined by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists.
