We are seeking a highly qualified Professional Faculty member to join our Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management at the University of North Texas. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of hospitality and tourism leaders.
Key Responsibilities- Teach courses in restaurant operations, catering, and food production, utilizing innovative teaching methods to ensure students understand culinary methods, new technologies, and management practices.
- Oversee student learning in the front and back of house of the Club at Gateway, our student-operated restaurant.
- Implement menu design, food preparation, planning, and pricing, as well as ordering supplies and keeping records and accounts.
- Collaborate with department and college faculty and staff to plan and develop recipes and menus, determine production schedules, and worker-time requirements.
To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of 15 years of work-related experience in the hospitality industry, or a Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field and 10+ years of experience. A Master's degree, prior teaching experience, and active industry engagement/membership are preferred.
