Your Role:
As a Clinical Laboratory Specialist II, you will execute a range of laboratory procedures in designated areas as per your licensure and certification. Your work will primarily involve analytical testing of blood and other human biological samples.

This role demands a considerable level of theoretical knowledge and practical expertise in your licensed specialty.

Depending on the department, you may also engage in various pre- and post-analytical processes, with on-call duties potentially required.

You will adhere to laboratory protocols and maintain quality control standards.

Your Contributions to the Team:
  • Conduct pre-analytical tasks associated with laboratory testing, including equipment maintenance, inventory management, and specimen processing.
  • Execute all necessary tests and analytical procedures accurately and efficiently, following established protocols and performance benchmarks.
  • Manage post-analytical activities, including reporting results and providing technical support related to laboratory testing across all age demographics.
  • Facilitate orientation and training for new staff and students, documenting their progress as needed.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you will need:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or a related field.
  • Appropriate state licensure for the laboratory specialty, or a national certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist.
