Job Summary

Abbott Laboratories is seeking a highly skilled NPI Supply Chain Manager to join our Electrophysiology team. In this role, you will be responsible for partnering with various functions in Supply Chain to support the development and execution of the sourcing strategy for design and development phases of new products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the supply chain aspects of new product development as the Supply Chain core team member on new product development programs
  • Collaborate with program managers, R&D, Design Assurance, Process Development, Quality, Regulatory and other functional groups throughout the NPI process
  • Partner with Strategic Sourcing leader to select and manage relationships with major suppliers to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service
  • Coordinate and collaborate with tactical procurement to operationalize procurement activities through development builds and commercialization
  • Partner with the Planning leaders to ensure successful launch of new products
  • Continuously improve the processes and metrics in which the NPI SC team operate

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
  • Progressively responsible experience in supply chain or manufacturing process engineering
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and teams
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working in a managerial capacity
  • Experience working in an ERP system such as SAP
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in Medical Device manufacturing or design

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters' degree
  • Experience negotiating technical agreements with suppliers
  • Medical device manufacturing process engineering
  • Medical device design
  • Experience with New Product Introduction within medical device or related industry
