**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Product Engineer to join our team at Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company. As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating designs for manufacturability and leading the development of new products into production.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Evaluate designs for manufacturability and develop manufacturing documentation, including manufacturing instructions, routings, process specifications, and tooling
* Provide continuity during transitions from proposals to production by acting as the main technical liaison between the customer and EBAD
* Solve manufacturing problems, investigate process failures, and implement corrective actions
* Coordinate with other departments to ensure the production viability of new designs and creation of required documentation
* Interface with production personnel, including operators, quality inspectors, and shop floor supervisors
* Implement Lean methodologies, including standard work, point-of-use tooling, material presentation, and process improvements
* Develop automated test fixtures and assembly tools
* Develop layouts of manufacturing cell design, including tooling, machinery, and equipment
* Create Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
* Ensure technical compliance and risk assessment
* Create standard work and contribute to manufacturing cell planning
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering discipline, preferably mechanical engineering or manufacturing engineering
* Related engineering experience in multi-part mechanisms and mechanical assemblies
* Knowledge of space vehicle mechanisms and systems
* CAD, 3D modeling, assembly creation, drawings, and GD&T
* Design of tooling and fixtures
* Design for Manufacturing methods and techniques
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects
* Formal problem analysis and resolution
* Project management skills with the ability to document, plan, and execute programs
* Working with aerospace products and processes
* Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing practices
* Enterprise/Manufacturing Resource Planning (ERP/MRP) systems
* MS Office - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
* Familiar with and able to work in MS Project
