Paid Internship for Behavioral Health Technicians
Are you experienced in behavioral therapy and looking to contribute to a company that enhances the lives of those it serves? As a Behavioral Technician Intern, your role will involve the consistent implementation of behavior management programs for individuals in our care.
- Build and maintain a therapeutic rapport with individuals served.
- Adhere to treatment plan objectives and interventions, utilizing sound judgment and seeking appropriate guidance when necessary.
- Collaborate effectively with families and treatment team members to apply behavior management techniques without disrupting the environment or other individuals.
- Provide education to parents and guardians regarding reinforcement and intervention strategies upon request.
- Encourage safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors to enhance communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills.
- Objectively assess the progress of individuals served using behavior analytic methods, identify barriers, and make recommendations to supervisors and behavior analysts as needed.
- Collect behavior data accurately, including A-B-C, count, frequency, duration, latency, inter-response time, event, and interval-based recording as required.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all documentation related to staff and individuals served.
- Complete incident reports in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Review daily updates for individuals served, such as new programs and scheduled sessions, and implement programs while training staff on their execution.
- Communicate regularly with staff to ensure proper implementation and retraining as necessary.
- Organize and prepare leisure activities to keep individuals engaged and active during non-therapy periods.
- Attend assigned clinical meetings, including access review meetings and progress conferences.
- Provide up-to-date residential status of participants and identify areas of concern affecting them, following through with solutions based on clinical team recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher that requires an internship for graduation.
- Preferred experience in a related field.
- RBT Credential is preferred.
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification as required.
