Lead Bartender - 54thirty

Job Overview

The role of a Lead Bartender encompasses additional training responsibilities while overseeing the daily tasks assigned to fellow team members. The Bartender is responsible for serving food and beverages to patrons promptly, ensuring exceptional service and guest satisfaction consistently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Embrace and embody the mission and core values of White Lodging.
  • Complete all required setup, side work, and closing tasks as designated.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the restaurant throughout the shift, removing any debris as necessary.
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness at the bar, performing daily cleaning and side work.
  • Ensure bar glassware is free from cracks, chips, and stains.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, including garnishes, ingredients, and preparation methods, and be ready to address any guest inquiries directly and succinctly.
  • Stay informed about daily specials and features offered by the restaurant.
  • Utilize suggestive selling techniques to enhance the average check value.
  • Accurately take guest orders, confirming details with the guest and inputting them correctly into the POS system.
  • Verify food presentation before serving to ensure quality, ensuring hot food is served fresh.
  • Assess guest satisfaction with food quality shortly after serving.
  • Present checks accurately and promptly, ensuring they are free from errors.
  • Adhere to all cash handling policies and complete end-of-shift paperwork as required.
  • Follow all company policies regarding work procedures and attendance.
  • Continuously learn and retain information about the hotel and participate in pre-shift meetings.
  • Encourage teamwork and foster a friendly, safe work environment.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all uniform standards set by the company.
  • Be knowledgeable about all bar products available to guests.
  • Engage in conversation with guests to create a personal connection.
  • Monitor guest beverage consumption to prevent overserving.
  • Assist with heavy lifting, such as moving kegs, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
