Lead Bartender - 54thirty

Job Overview

As a Lead Bartender, you will take on additional training responsibilities while overseeing the daily operations of the bar team. Your primary role will be to serve food and beverages to guests promptly, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction at all times. It is essential to verify the identification of all patrons and monitor their beverage consumption to prevent overserving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete all assigned setup, side work, and closing tasks efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant, addressing any debris before, during, and after shifts.
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness at the bar, performing daily cleaning and side work.
  • Inspect bar glassware for any cracks, chips, or stains.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, including garnishes, ingredients, and preparation methods, and be ready to address guest inquiries clearly and concisely.
  • Stay informed about daily specials and features offered by the restaurant.
  • Utilize suggestive selling techniques to enhance the restaurant's check average.
  • Accurately take guest orders, confirming details by reading them back, and input them correctly into the POS system.
  • Ensure food presentation meets quality standards before serving to guests.
  • Assess guest satisfaction with food quality shortly after serving.
  • Present checks accurately and promptly.
  • Adhere to all cash handling policies and complete end-of-shift paperwork as required.
  • Follow all company policies regarding work procedures and attendance.
  • Engage in pre-shift meetings to stay updated on hotel information.
  • Foster a collaborative and friendly work environment.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all uniform standards.
  • Be knowledgeable about all bar products available to guests.
  • Engage in conversation with guests to build personal connections.
  • Monitor guest beverage consumption to prevent overserving.
  • Assist with keg management, including heavy lifting as needed, ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Education/Experience
