Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Hospital Housekeeper to join our team at The Orchards. As a key member of our housekeeping staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our residents' living areas, public spaces, and offices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces
  • Conduct thorough room turnovers, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for residents
  • Operate floor cleaning, buffing, and extraction equipment to maintain a high level of cleanliness
  • Assist with project work, such as stripping and waxing floors, carpet extraction, and spring cleaning
  • Provide quality assurance by maintaining daily cleaning schedules and adjusting work in progress as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; related experience in housekeeping preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions
  • Mathematical skills to perform basic calculations and measurements
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment

The work environment at The Orchards is dynamic and fast-paced, with a focus on providing exceptional care and service to our residents. As a Hospital Housekeeper, you will be exposed to various cleaning supplies and equipment, as well as occasional noise levels in the equipment rooms and traffic areas.
