About the Role

As a Seasonal Retail Sales Associate at Cheekwood Estate & Gardens, you will have the opportunity to work in a unique and beautiful environment, surrounded by art, gardens, and history. Our retail team oversees the operations of three gift shops on the property, offering a wide range of products and services to our visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to our visitors, answering questions and making recommendations on products.
  • Maintain a neat and organized store and stockroom, ensuring that products are properly displayed and easily accessible.
  • Operate the Point of Sale computer system, completing sales, returns, and other transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Track sales and inventory, aiming to meet daily, weekly, and monthly financial goals.
  • Participate in opening and closing procedures, including unpacking, pricing, and stocking merchandise.
Requirements
  • Customer service experience is required, with retail experience preferred.
  • Pleasant service-oriented demeanor and strong customer service skills are essential.
  • Ability to remain productive and motivated while working alone, with flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Willingness to walk/stand for long periods.
