Job Summary
  • We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Development Operations team.
  • Responsibilities include interfacing with multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with customers, proposing cost-effective solutions, and identifying improvements to engineering standard work.
Key Responsibilities
  • Interface with multidisciplinary team to design and implement test facility electrical control and data systems
  • Collaborate with customers to further understand and define their requirements
  • Propose and implement cost effective solutions from initial concept through final design, fabrication, checkout, and system turnover to the customer considering feasibility, safety, environmental impact, and adherence to industry standards
  • Identify improvements to Engineering Standard Work during execution of assigned tasks
  • Frequent interfacing with Engine Project Groups, Purchasing, and outside Pratt & Whitney's vendors required
  • Collaborate with capital project managers and lead both high and medium power electrical design for new construction/renovation of site facilities
  • Writing request for proposal documents in support of capital procurement
  • Oversee vendors and ensure compliance with industry standards and Company policies, procedures and practices
  • Working knowledge of planning requirements, design, integration and implementing of Power Distribution on site
  • Review and approve project and construction drawings to ensure capture of appropriate codes and standards related to NEC, Florida Building Codes, as well as local jurisdiction code requirements
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer
  • Travel is less than 25%
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Controls, Power transmission or Power distribution Engineering
  • 5 years of electrical or engineering experience or an Advanced Degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering with 3 years of electrical or engineering experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S Citizenship is required, as only U.S Citizens are eligible for a security clearance
