Job Overview

As a Cardiovascular Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies procedures, and/or protocols under the supervision of the nursing leader.

Your primary focus will be on collecting data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or the situation, analyzing the assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues, and developing a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes.

Essential Functions
  • Patient Assessment: Collects data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or the situation, analyzes the assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues, and prioritizes data collection in relation to the identified health or situation.
  • Expected Outcomes: Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or the situation and develops a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes.
  • Clinical Judgment: Implements the identified plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment, taking into account ethical considerations and personal values and beliefs.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful as a Cardiovascular Care Specialist, you must have a Graduate degree from an accredited School of Nursing and hold a current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider status according to American Heart Association certification. You should also have Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state in which you work and reside or; if declaring a National License Compact (NLC) state as your primary state of residency, meet the licensure requirements in your home state; or for Non-National License Compact states, current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner required in the state where the RN works.

In addition to these qualifications, you should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, be able to prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain confidentiality in all interactions.

The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This salary estimate is based on industry standards, location, and job requirements.
