ROLE SUMMARY

The Production Lead is tasked with supervising and mentoring a team of production staff to meet objectives while upholding exceptional quality standards. This position demands a blend of technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and strong communication skills to foster team effectiveness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with management on workforce scheduling, efficiency metrics, operational guidelines, and production flow.
  • Work alongside other team leaders and supervisors to promote cross-training initiatives, enhancing employee skill sets across various functions.
  • Establish and enforce operational guidelines to ensure team members are well-informed and precise in their tasks.
  • Coordinate with procurement, production planning, and logistics to maintain accurate inventory for all components.
  • Communicate maintenance needs effectively and oversee the repair and replacement of necessary supplies.
  • Act as a positive role model and mentor, demonstrating and teaching desirable skills and behaviors.
  • Serve as the primary support resource for team members, addressing and resolving issues that arise.
  • Perform additional related or unrelated tasks as assigned through on-the-job training.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a combination of education and experience is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing or distribution environment with some leadership duties is required.
  • Preferred experience includes 3-5 years in a manufacturing or distribution setting with leadership responsibilities.
