ROLE SUMMARY
The Production Lead is tasked with supervising and mentoring a team of production staff to meet objectives while upholding exceptional quality standards. This position demands a blend of technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and strong communication skills to foster team effectiveness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with management on workforce scheduling, efficiency metrics, operational guidelines, and production flow.
- Work alongside other team leaders and supervisors to promote cross-training initiatives, enhancing employee skill sets across various functions.
- Establish and enforce operational guidelines to ensure team members are well-informed and precise in their tasks.
- Coordinate with procurement, production planning, and logistics to maintain accurate inventory for all components.
- Communicate maintenance needs effectively and oversee the repair and replacement of necessary supplies.
- Act as a positive role model and mentor, demonstrating and teaching desirable skills and behaviors.
- Serve as the primary support resource for team members, addressing and resolving issues that arise.
- Perform additional related or unrelated tasks as assigned through on-the-job training.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; a combination of education and experience is required.
- A minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing or distribution environment with some leadership duties is required.
- Preferred experience includes 3-5 years in a manufacturing or distribution setting with leadership responsibilities.
LICENSES REQUIRED
- No specific licenses are required.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- No travel is necessary for this position.

- This position involves Medium Work: exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or frequently, and/or constantly to move objects.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

VISUAL REQUIREMENTS
- The position necessitates close visual acuity for tasks such as data analysis, transcribing, viewing computer screens, extensive reading, inspecting for small defects, operating machinery, using measurement tools, and assembling parts.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- The worker may be exposed to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards typical of a production environment.
