Server Opportunity at The Post Oak Hotel

We are seeking a skilled Server to enhance our guests' dining experiences at The Post Oak Hotel. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing personalized and genuine service to our guests, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for the entire table.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and greet guests warmly upon their arrival, making them feel valued and appreciated.
  • Take beverage orders and adhere to our alcohol service policy, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests.
  • Proficiently explain menu items, ingredients, and preparation techniques to diners, showcasing your knowledge and enthusiasm for our culinary offerings.
  • Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery, maintaining a smooth and efficient service flow.
  • Serve meals and drinks promptly and with precision, ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.
  • Regularly check on guests to ensure satisfaction and address any requests or concerns, demonstrating your commitment to exceptional service.
  • Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate issues to the management team, resolving conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
  • Collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure seamless service, working together to create a memorable experience for our guests.
  • Adhere to all federal and state laws, including tip reporting and minimum wage regulations, ensuring compliance and integrity in all aspects of your role.
Required Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in the restaurant or customer service field is preferred, but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively and manage time efficiently, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Familiarity with food and beverage menus, including dietary restrictions and allergies, ensuring a safe and inclusive dining experience for all guests.
  • Basic math skills for processing payments and calculating tips accurately, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, adapting to changing schedules and demands.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods, maintaining a high level of energy and endurance throughout your shift.
