Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to join our team at Dorman Products. As a key member of our supply chain organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing supplier strategies that align with our commercial vision and deliver industry-leading innovation, speed to market, product quality, and delivery performance at the lowest total cost of ownership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of 2-4 Procurement Contributors in overseeing global sourcing activities for Dayton Parts
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure a reliable supply of high-quality products at competitive prices that align with branding and commercial strategy
  • Lead sourcing projects from ideation through savings realization to achieve targeted cost reductions
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new sourcing opportunities and mitigate risks
  • Foster strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure continuous improvement, long-term collaboration, and mutual growth
  • Create and deploy vendor management KPIs
  • Work closely with supply planning to understand capacity needs of suppliers to ensure maximum serviceability
  • Determine initial stocking strategies
  • Maintain Project Ideation Funnel and Active Project Decks to simultaneously deploy strategies, achieve year-over-year performance improvements, and support NPI/Growth initiatives
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships at all levels of the organization to understand strategic direction and how supply chain strategies align to find solutions that meet their needs
Qualifications
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including executive presentation skills
  • Excellent knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and sourcing strategies
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret large amounts of data
  • Supplier relationship management
  • Negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to perform and produce results in multifunctional global teams in a dynamic work environment
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office applications
  • Physical requirement: capability to lift 20 pounds
  • Working conditions: while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with concentration in one or more of the following disciplines: management, supply chain, operations, business
  • MBA is preferred
  • APICS certification is preferred
  • 5+ years' experience as a supply chain planning professional
