Rumpke Waste and Recycling seeks a dedicated Waste Management Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, interacting with customers, and operating heavy equipment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and hauling waste or recycling materials to disposal sites or recycling plants. This position requires excellent driving and maneuvering skills, as well as the ability to read and understand maps.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate trucks safely and efficiently, adhering to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers by emptying containers into trucks and hauling them to disposal sites.
  • Pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings, as needed.
  • Deliver trash or recycling containers to designated areas.
  • Clean up spills and overflows, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, completing logs as required.
  • Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
Requirements
  • A valid Class B CDL license.
  • A valid DOT Medical Card or the ability to obtain one prior to hire.
  • No more than three moving violations within the last two years.
  • No DUIs or OVI convictions within the last five years or two in the last ten years.
  • The ability to read and speak English fluently.
Compensation

We offer an estimated annual salary of $60,000-$80,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
