Job Summary:

McMinn County School District is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing speech and language services to students with speech, voice, fluency, or language disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct independent evaluations to assess, screen, and evaluate students with speech and/or language disorders and conditions.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with speech/language impairment and assist with IEPs for students with speech/language as a related service on an annual basis or according to requirements.
Provide appropriate individual and group therapy to students consistent with speech and language goals contained in IEPs.
Comply with all Medicaid requirements for school-based claiming, including obtaining written Medicaid consent from parents of all students served and timely completion of reports.
Provide consultative services for school staff by sharing and demonstrating specific techniques and working with school teams to facilitate relevant and consistent interventions for targeted students.
Maintain records and information concerning individual students in the prescribed confidential manner and using the records and information only for the purposes for which they are maintained according to FERPA and HIPAA guidelines.

Requirements:

Master's degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited college or university.
Valid School Service Personnel License.
Valid Tennessee Speech-Language Pathologist License.

Working Conditions:

Work inside, occasional districtwide travel as requested by administration.
Frequent sitting and standing; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting.
Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching, frequent walking grasping/squeezing.
Regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds) and occasional lifting between 15-30 pounds.
