Medical Laboratory Technician

As a Medical Laboratory Technician at IDEXX Laboratories, you will play a vital role in our diagnostic laboratory team. Your primary responsibility will be to perform laboratory testing that helps veterinarians diagnose and treat pets. You will work in a fast-paced environment that encourages teamwork, quality, and offers opportunities for personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct laboratory testing using automated analyzers, microscopes, and other diagnostic tools to diagnose animal illnesses, injuries, and diseases.
- Perform diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal, or pet biopsy samples received in our laboratory.
- Set up and run lab tests, read and release results according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Specialize in Immunology/Serology: Testing blood and other samples for the presence of viral and bacterial diseases by detecting antibodies (AB) or antigens (AG).
- A High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- A 2-, 3-, or 4-year degree in a Science-related field is preferred.
- Experience as a Veterinary Technician (RVT, LVT, CVT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT or MT) is a plus.
- Ability to set up, run, and read lab tests, and operate laboratory equipment (microscopes, pipetting, and/or clinical diagnostic analyzers).
- Positive attitude and ability to bring energy into the lab to support colleagues.
- Ability to work in a team and concentrate on details.
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the job, including standing and sitting for extended periods, phone and computer use, extended reach, lifting up to 50lb, and specific vision ability.
- Hourly rates targeting $25.88/hour.

- We have two possible schedules for this position: 5AM-1:30PM or 10AM-6:30PM, Monday through Friday, with a rotating Saturday.
