This role is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Egg Packing Machine Operator II. As a key member of our production team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our robotic palletizing machines. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor the machines, following all safety protocols and procedures, to collect and separate cases of egg patties and/or omelets according to product SKU and line. This requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures: This includes following Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures, wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Operate robotic palletizing machines: You will be responsible for ensuring cases are properly stacked according to product SKU and line, and that all full pallets are indexed and wrapped with plastic.
  • Enter data into the SAP system: You will need to accurately record production data and complete any necessary paperwork.
  • Maintain communication with leads and/or supervisor: You will be expected to keep your team informed of any issues or concerns, and to escalate any problems to your supervisor.
  • Perform preventive maintenance: You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance on the equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
  • Stack cases of product manually: In some cases, you may need to manually stack cases of product, using your judgment to determine the best method for doing so.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this role.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions: You will need to be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds: You will need to be able to lift up to 55 pounds safely when handling Chep pallets for hand stacking finished outgoing product.
  • PIT certification: Powered Industrial Truck certification is required for this role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds continuously: You will need to be able to lift up to 30 pounds continuously when hand stacking cases of finished product.
  • Basic computer skills: You will need to have basic computer skills, including the ability to use spreadsheet and word-processing software.
  • Strong mechanical background: A strong mechanical background is preferred for this role.
  • Strong attention to detail: You will need to have strong attention to detail and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Estimated salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
