Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Property Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you'll be responsible for keeping our rental properties in excellent condition, both inside and out. This is a part-time role that requires flexibility and a can-do attitude.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Maintain Properties: Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, units, and homes, identifying any issues or needed repairs. Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure everything runs smoothly.
  • HVAC Expertise: Ensure heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems are functioning as intended. Test for proper functionality and have general knowledge of HVAC components.
  • Complete Service Requests: Handle internally managed service requests from residents and property managers. Prepare vacant units for new move-ins and perform quality assurance inspections of work completed by outside vendors.
  • Ensure Safety: Work safely, recognizing potential hazards and taking action to prevent accidents. Serve as our ambassador on-site, posting legal notices and maps as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required. Associate's degree from a technical college preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License & Reliable Transportation: Essential for traveling between properties and sites.
  • Experience: Two or more years of direct building maintenance experience strongly desired.
  • Tools & Equipment: Familiarity with hand and power tools, including a hammer, screwdrivers, channel locks, multimeter, and more.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills required for explaining solutions to residents and property managers.
  • Flexibility: Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and manage your schedule efficiently. Flexible scheduling with evening and weekend work possible.
