In this role, you will enjoy performing a wide variety of preventive maintenance tasks to provide our property guests with an exceptionally well-kept building and grounds. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing guest room preventative maintenance duties such as painting, battery replacement, smoke detector checks, and HVAC cleaning.
  • Promptly responding to reports of guest problems and concerns.
  • Assisting all guests in a sincere and courteous manner to ensure 100% satisfaction.
  • Assisting in maintaining the pool, spa, and general area of the property according to specific local codes and brand standards.
  • Maintaining the grounds, landscaping, outbuildings, and parking areas in a clean, neat, safe, and attractive manner.
  • Performing general repairs for guestrooms and the property.
  • Completing maintenance projects in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Checking Hippo continuously throughout the day to ensure any maintenance requests are completed.
  • Performing building and equipment preventative maintenance duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer or General Manager.
  • Keeping the team and Chief Engineer promptly and fully informed of all problems for timely corrective action.
  • Assisting the Chief Engineer with leading the maintenance department, including assigning tasks to the team and scheduling.

Success in this role requires a minimum of 1 year of hotel maintenance experience, CPO certification, HVAC experience, flexible availability, patience, creative problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, reliability, honesty, and a desire to contribute to a supportive and effective team.
