About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, including setting up equipment and supplies.
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, including passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
  • Monitor and control the surgical environment, ensuring a safe and efficient workflow.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including patient information and surgical procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a Surgical Technology program required.
  • 2 or more years of experience in a surgical setting preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Certification of Surgical Technologist from The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting within 180 days of graduation or LVN/LPN License required.
