Employment Type: Contract-hire

Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) schedule, ensuring adherence to site timelines.
  • Develop and update PHA documentation for both new and existing processes.
  • Ensure availability of necessary information prior to conducting PHAs, including batch records, drawings, and safety data.
  • Facilitate Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) for new and existing processes utilizing methodologies such as HAZOP or PSRA.
  • Manage and monitor PHA action plans to ensure timely execution.
  • Assist in the formulation, oversight, and auditing of Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR).
  • Contribute to the development of the site’s process safety program as needed.
  • Provide mentorship and training to site personnel in the fields of process safety and risk assessment.
  • Engage in the implementation of new products and processes to ensure manufacturability, including technology transfer.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for relevant incidents and near misses.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety and maintain a clean and safe working environment for all employees and visitors.
  • Exhibit self-motivation, the ability to work independently, and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the API pharmaceuticals or chemical processing industry.
  • Experience in participating in or leading Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs).
