Insight Global is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technician to join a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in all surgical procedures, with a focus on specialties including Cardiac, Vascular, General, Gynecological, Urological, Orthopedic, Spine, Neurological, Plastic, Robotic, and Trauma surgeries.
- Work within specialized service teams for Cardiac and Vascular surgeries, while being cross-trained in other surgical areas.
- Provide support during operations by supplying sterile instruments and materials as required.
- Facilitate room turnover and prepare for subsequent surgical cases.
- Ensure a sterile environment is maintained throughout all procedures.
- Anticipate the needs of surgeons by efficiently handing over instruments.
- Regularly update and maintain preference cards for surgical procedures.
Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of one year of experience in an operating room setting is mandatory.
- Prior experience with Cardiac/Heart teams is essential.
Operational Details:
- Number of Operating Rooms: 16
- Average cases handled monthly: [data not specified]
- Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, day shifts.
- On-call duties are required, averaging one shift per week, with additional responsibilities on Fridays and weekends.
- A callback radius of 30 minutes is necessary.
Qualifications:
- Basic computer proficiency is required.
- Experience in a specialized surgical field is preferred.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program is necessary.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a surgical technologist is mandatory for candidates working in Colorado.
- Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or as a Tech in Surgery (CST) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) is required.
