The Metropolitan Public Defender Service Inc is seeking a skilled Case Manager to join our dynamic Washington County Office. As a key member of our team, you will engage with clients to identify and refer them to community resources, including substance use and behavioral health treatment, housing, healthcare, and public benefits.

This is a full-time, in-office position that requires a minimum of two years of experience in case management or an associate's degree in a social-service related field. Familiarity with the criminal justice system and substance use disorders is also required.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $63,252.40 - $97,161.20.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients to identify and refer to desired community resources
  • Partner with attorneys and other support staff to create discharge plans for clients releasing from incarceration and hospitalization
  • Maintain contact with clients throughout the life of their open cases, advocate for clients' interests in social and health services, and provide care coordination and systems navigation to ensure clients are connected to desired services
  • Attend care coordination meetings, housing case conferences, and hearings related to the clients' pending case as needed
