Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and patient Caregiver - Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team. As a DSP, you will provide support and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a group home or clinic setting.
Key Responsibilities- Support Participants with Daily Living Activities: Assist with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and other daily living tasks to promote independence and well-being.
- Develop Meaningful Relationships: Build strong relationships with participants, their families, and other team members to create a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Provide Behavioral Support: Use positive behavioral support techniques to help participants manage challenging behaviors and achieve their goals.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with other DSPs, supervisors, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Document Progress and Participation: Maintain accurate records of participant progress, goals, and participation in activities.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible.
- Vehicle: Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
