Job Description

As a key member of our design team at Marbach America, you will play a crucial role in creating technical drawings and designs used by our production team to build various products for the paperboard packaging, label, gasket, and other converting industries.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize proprietary CAD software to prepare and generate manufacturing file programs.
  • Generate CAD projects from various forms of customer data, including existing program files, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Use various measuring equipment when needed based on customer-supplied data.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
  • Work as a member of a design team, cooperating with the team leader and with management in an effective manner to perform tasks with high quality.
  • Make every effort to complete assignments on time and on schedule.
  • Treat all Marbach information and customer information in a confidential manner.
  • Inform supervisor of problems or issues that affect the company's ability to meet customer requirements.
  • Maintain and continually improve technical and professional abilities described above and required to perform assigned tasks.
  • This may be done through reading and continuing education.
  • Department Quality Control
  • Generation of structural design blueprints for tool fabrication
  • Documentation of customer specifications.
  • Use of proprietary client management system
Preferred Skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • CAD background preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of Metric/Standard conversion
  • Proficient in folding carton sheet-fed and web-fed tools
