Position Overview:
The Bilingual Teacher Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the educational process for students in grades K-5. This position involves collaborating with the lead teacher to enhance the learning environment and assist in various instructional and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the teacher in preparing educational materials and organizing classroom displays.
- Support the administration of assessments and assignments.

- Conduct instructional activities as directed by the teacher, working with individual students or small groups.

- Engage in professional development training to enhance job performance.
- Participate in faculty meetings and special events as required.
- Assist in maintaining student records, attendance, and documentation.

- Regular and punctual attendance is essential for this role.
Work Environment:
The work environment typically has a moderate noise level. Travel within the district is a key component of this position. Remote work is not an option for campus-based roles, as consistent attendance and engagement at the worksite are fundamental job duties.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree or 48 college credit hours, or successful completion of an academic assessment; Valid educational aide certificate.
- Preferred experience includes six months of relevant work experience or completion of a training program for teacher assistants.
- General knowledge of child development and behavior is essential.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Flexibility to adapt to the evolving challenges in the educational landscape.
- Commitment to staying updated with the latest advancements in the field.
