Key ResponsibilitiesThis LPN role involves collaboration within a care team framework, where Licensed Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses, Desk Operation Specialists, and healthcare providers work in close coordination.
The nurse/provider team engages in simultaneous patient consultations and follow-up activities.Essential LPN Functions Include:
- Assisting with the insertion of intrauterine devices
- Administering injections
- Providing normal test results
- Reinforcing education related to obstetrics.
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers nursing care to designated patients under the direct oversight of a Registered Nurse (RN) or another assigned supervisor, accepting delegated tasks as necessary to meet patient and family needs.
The LPN gathers data through observation and communicates findings to assist the RN and/or provider in patient assessment and care planning.
As a member of the healthcare team, the LPN participates actively and accepts delegated responsibilities from the RN/supervisor and provider to fulfill patient and family needs.
The LPN provides care in alignment with the patient care plan, adhering to organizational policies and procedures, and principles of relationship-based care.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be adept at mentoring and instructing, and may participate in committees or projects, including quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or passed LPN Boards after completing a defined period in a professional nursing program.
- If graduation occurred more than two years ago, one year of relevant LPN experience is required.
- Experience in Women's Health/OB is advantageous.
Applicants should be detail-oriented, adaptable in managing workload throughout the day, and possess a foundation in collaborative, multidisciplinary teamwork.
- Preferred: One year of LPN experience within the last five years.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Experience in a team-oriented environment is required.
- Computer proficiency is necessary; prior experience with electronic medical records is preferred.
- Availability for daytime hours is required, with flexibility to meet staffing needs.
- Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations in the workplace.
- Current LPN license as per state regulations.
Additional Requirements:
- Maintain current Basic Life Support certification for Healthcare Providers from recognized programs.
- Additional specialty certification/training may be required based on the work area.
Compensation and Benefits- Compensation range is $22.27 - $31.91 per hour.
- Benefits eligible.
- Standard schedule: Monday-Friday; Days, 8-hour shifts.
- No weekend shifts required.
