We are looking for a Pulmonary Care Specialist to join our team and ensure that we continue to deliver high-quality, efficient patient care.

Job Summary and Responsibilities:
The Pulmonary Care Specialist is responsible for coordinating and providing high-quality, patient-focused respiratory care in alignment with departmental requirements and consistent with state and specialty practice standards.

As an integral member of the patient care team, the Pulmonary Care Specialist will:

  • Conduct and document patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures to assess the necessity for and response to respiratory therapy.
  • Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Assist with the placement of artificial airways and manage mechanical ventilation.
  • Monitor patients for therapeutic responses and intervene as necessary in case of adverse reactions.
  • Assist in the transportation of patients requiring ventilatory support.
  • Respond to emergency situations, ensuring airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation efforts.

Qualifications:
- Certification as a State Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician or State Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Credentials as a Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT), Licensed Certified Respiratory Therapist (LCRT), or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
