Job Summary:

As a Machinist at Tradesmen International, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex machinery and equipment. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dismantle, repair, or replace defective parts, and reassemble machinery using machinist's tools, chain hoists, and steel rollers.
  • Install ship machinery, such as propelling machinery and steering gear, working from blueprints and using hand tools, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating moving parts and inspecting equipment for damage or wear.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure efficient and safe working practices.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a machinist or related role.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
