Medical Laboratory Scientist

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team in Oregon.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related field, and be certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and evaluate test results before release, identifying and addressing suspect results based on criteria, alerts, or inconsistencies.
- Follow QC policies, document activities, and notify coordinators of any issues with test systems or results, adhering to all laboratory standards.
- Start duties promptly, organizing and prioritizing workflow, even during high-demand situations, and adjusting for STAT requests.
- Maintain inventory, learn new procedures quickly, and ensure a clean, safe work environment, handling all tasks with care.
- Ensure that all actions support patient safety goals, contributing to a culture of safety and accuracy.
- Exhibit professionalism and support colleagues, contributing to problem-solving and maintaining positive working relationships.
