Key Responsibilities
  • Greet Guests: Welcome guests with a smile and provide a friendly and courteous service.
  • Seat Guests: Find a clean and available table, pull out chairs, and place a clean menu in front of the guest.
  • Answer Phone and Record Reservations: Answer phone calls and record reservations for large parties in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Control High Volume: Manage the flow of guests and ensure a smooth dining experience.
  • Monitor Dining Rooms: Keep an eye on the dining rooms to ensure seating availability, service, safety, and well-being of guests.
  • Assist Servers: Provide support to servers when needed to ensure excellent service.
  • Thank Guests: Thank every guest upon departure, invite them to return, and wish them a fond farewell.
Requirements
  • Strong Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior Host Experience: Previous experience as a host/hostess is preferred.
  • Multi-Tasking: Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period or for an entire shift, and move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10lbs without assistance.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Certifications: Must have alcohol training certification (TABC/TIPS) and Food Handler permit (where applicable).
