Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Host/Hostess to join our team at The Ritz-Carlton. As a Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that every guest has a memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greets guests and determines the number in their party
  • Seats guests by finding a clean, available table; pulling out chairs; placing clean/current menu in front of guest, etc.
  • Guides guests through the dining rooms and provides any needed assistance
  • Moves and arranges tables, chairs, and settings and organizes seating for groups with special needs
  • Ensures place settings are appropriate and each guest has a napkin, clean silverware, and any other item that is part of the standard place setting
  • Checks menus to ensure they are current, clean, plentiful, and wrinkle-free
  • Maintains cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures
  • Monitors dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and well-being of guests
Requirements
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • No related work experience
  • No supervisory experience
  • None
