Job Summary

Williamson Health is seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our Central Sterilization department, you will be responsible for providing sterile or high-level disinfected equipment and supplies for inpatient and outpatient surgical patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Decontamination Area: Adhere to CS decontamination area policies and procedures, properly wearing PPE, and knowledge of ultrasonic and instrument washer testing and operation.
  • Instrument Assembly Area: Assemble instruments and equipment according to Central Sterilization policies and procedures, utilizing available resources for correct sterilization methods, and proper instrument wrapping techniques.
  • Sterilization: Adhere to CS policies related to all sterilization methods, properly load sterilization racks, and follow CS policies and procedures for sterilization.
  • Sterile Storage: Adhere to storage requirements for sterilized reusable medical equipment, facilitate a cohesive sterile processing team, and participate in quality improvement activities.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous CSR experience required.
  • Certified CSR technicians must maintain 10 hours of continuing education (CE) annually.
  • Certification must be attained from either the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).
Work Environment

Our Inpatient and Outpatient Surgical facility provides a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a patient population ranging from less than one year of age to ninety-nine plus years of age. You will be working in a team-oriented environment with opportunities for growth and development.
