About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Actuary to join our Specialty Lines team at USAA. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing actuarial models to drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain actuarial models to analyze and predict business outcomes, including pricing, reserving, and catastrophe management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and develop strategies to achieve company goals.
  • Utilize advanced actuarial techniques and software to analyze complex data sets and provide insights to inform business decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the team.
  • Communicate complex actuarial concepts and results to non-technical stakeholders, including business leaders and external partners.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in actuarial or related field, with a strong background in actuarial modeling and analysis.
  • Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) or Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) designation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
What We Offer

USAA offers a competitive salary range of $120,550 - $230,400, based on experience and market data. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) and pension plans, and paid time off.
