About the Role

USAA is seeking a highly skilled Associate Actuary to join our Specialty Lines team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing actuarial models to drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain advanced actuarial models to analyze and predict business outcomes, including pricing, reserving, and catastrophe management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new products, pricing strategies, and risk management initiatives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity.
  • Provide actuarial expertise and guidance to support business decisions and drive strategic growth.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business partners, regulators, and industry experts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in actuarial analysis, pricing, and risk management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with actuarial software, including Python, Earnix, and Generalized Linear Models (GLMs).
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the insurance industry.
What We Offer

USAA offers a competitive salary range of $120,550 - $230,400, based on experience and market data.
