Key Responsibilities:
The Environmental Services Worker II role encompasses various duties, including but not limited to:
- Adhering to verbal and written safety protocols.
- Executing cleaning tasks for assigned areas.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of daily responsibilities.
- Exhibiting flexibility in response to scheduling changes or staffing shortages.
- Utilizing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriately throughout all tasks.
- Reporting equipment malfunctions to the relevant department.
- Interacting with staff and patients in a courteous and professional manner.
- Managing record-keeping and equipment storage.
- Handling regular and hazardous waste, including operating waste processing machinery.
- Performing cleaning in sterile environments such as operating rooms and MRI facilities.
- Delivering supplies to designated locations.
- Operating laundry equipment and changing curtains as needed.
- Completing various utility tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of one year of experience in housekeeping or a related service field.
- Experience in floor care.
- The ability to lift, push, or pull weights ranging from 10 to 25 pounds on a daily basis.
- A strong commitment to customer service for both staff and patients.
- Familiarity with electronic devices such as computers and tablets.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding instructions in English.
- The capability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Self-motivation and the ability to manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and reliable attendance.
Preferred Qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
