Job Summary

This position involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care. As a Physician Assistant in Orthopedics, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing primary orthopedic care to patients in the Emergency Department and various inpatient units
  • Assisting in surgery, including first assist, deep and superficial tissue closures, application of appliances, and other actions delegated by the surgeon
  • Conducting hospital rounds, writing orders, and participating in daily rounding on assigned patients
Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Evaluate, screen, and counsel patients on health maintenance and promote utilization of community resources
  • Design, conduct, and/or participate in research studies, manage databases, and perform quality assurance
  • Collaborate with the attending physician to prepare and record patient history, develop and implement a plan of care, and document pertinent symptoms, findings, diagnoses, and care plans
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Base salary: $160,000
  • Relocation assistance (if applicable)
  • Potential sign-on bonus up to $10,000
