Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective safety strategies to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Foster a culture of safety among employees, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Conduct regular jobsite safety audits and provide corrective actions to prevent accidents.
  • Assist in the selection process and adherence to environmental safety and health guidelines for second-tier subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Perform annual safety orientations for new hires, subcontractors, and current employees.
  • Manage administrative duties, including medical certifications, environmental testing, and safety documentation.

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with excellent listening abilities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify complex issues.
  • Proven track record of motivating teams to adopt safe practices.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • OSHA 30 and/or 510 certifications within the last 3 years required.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certification is preferred but not required.
  • Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC) certification is an asset.
