RN Sepsis Stroke Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated RN Sepsis Stroke Coordinator to join our team at HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital. As a key member of our quality improvement team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that we provide the highest level of care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect, review, and analyze stroke outcome data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance patient care.
  • Present data to various committees and facility leadership, as well as report to division quality leadership.
  • Collaborate with providers, coding, and Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists to ensure accurate documentation that reflects the patient's condition.
  • Develop and maintain the stroke program according to Joint Commission/DNV standards and elements of performance.
  • Manage data related to reporting for certification and make recommendations for improvement as needed.
Requirements:
  • Critical Care or ER experience preferred, as well as Neuro experience.
  • Familiarity with The Joint Commission, Medicare, and State requirements.
  • Extensive computer knowledge and experience required with emphasis on EMR, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and HPF applications.
