Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in our hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory therapy and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Accurately complete respiratory assessments and provide prescribed therapies on a timely basis.
  • Provide prescribed therapies on a timely basis, according to the specialty area and established department guidelines.
  • Evaluate and accurately document the results of respiratory therapy actions.
  • Accurately set up, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
  • Communicate with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient progress and recommend changes in therapy modalities.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in obtaining and analyzing blood gas specimens and performing skin testing.
  • Properly maintain equipment and document as required.
  • Monitor staffing, work, and equipment room areas on a regular basis.
  • Provide helpful, accurate patient and family education.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree required.
  • Must be a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist.
  • Must be certified by the National Board of Respiratory Therapy.
  • Must have current Massachusetts State License.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (BLS) and NRP certification are required.
  • One year experience preferred.
  • Meditech and Microsoft Office experience preferred.
