Job Title: Director of Life Enrichment and Memory Support

Chapters Living of South Bend is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Director of Life Enrichment and Memory Support to join our team. As a key member of our community, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents and ensuring exceptional memory support for those with Alzheimer's disease or other dementia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implement Engaging Activities: Develop innovative life enrichment programs tailored to the varying needs and interests of our residents, focusing on promoting purpose and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with Departments: Work collaboratively with other departments, such as nursing, dietary, and administration, to create an integrated approach to resident care that aligns with our community's philosophy and values.
  • Organize Events and Activities: Organize and execute a diverse range of events, activities, and outings, including social gatherings, educational sessions, fitness classes, and cultural experiences, to promote socialization and engagement among residents.
  • Communicate with Families: Maintain open communication with residents' families, providing updates on their loved ones' well-being and seeking feedback to enhance the care and services provided.
  • Assess Resident Needs: Conduct regular assessments of residents' needs and preferences, and modify and adapt programs, ensuring the highest quality of care.
  • Train Staff and Volunteers: Provide training and support to staff and volunteers to ensure that they are equipped to provide quality care and support to our residents.
  • Record Keeping: Create and maintain records of all activities and ensure that they are properly documented.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous experience in senior living, education, child development, activities coordination, or a related field is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with residents, families, and staff.
  • Leadership Skills: Minimum one year of leadership and team skills is required.
