Responsibilities

Job Summary: Cultivate relationships with key clinics within the HonorHealth Network to identify and fulfill customer needs.

Oversee the daily operations of the specialty pharmacy, ensuring effective workflow management, clinical patient care, and adherence to policies and regulations. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing daily pharmacy operations and ensuring accurate prescription filling.
  • Supervising compliance with accrediting standards.
  • Reporting errors promptly and adhering to quality improvement protocols.
  • Maintaining records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Implementing asset protection measures to minimize losses.
  • Ensuring the pharmacy environment is safe and compliant with regulations.
  • Managing cash and inventory effectively.

Patient Experience:

Ensure that pharmacy staff deliver exceptional service, addressing customer inquiries and complaints efficiently.


People and Performance Management:

Supervise pharmacy staff to ensure adherence to required functions and training on payer and pharmaceutical contractual obligations.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the network.


Training and Development:

Continuously assess personal performance and stay updated on developments in pharmacy and healthcare.


Communication:

Foster strong working relationships with healthcare professionals and serve as a consultant regarding pharmaceutical therapies.

Actively engage in the education and training of new pharmacy staff and interns.


Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent experience.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Community Pharmacy.

Licenses and Certifications: Registered Pharmacist (RPh) upon hire, with a willingness to obtain and maintain licensure in states beyond Arizona.
