This role will be responsible for overseeing the costs and efficiency of our direct-to-consumer deliveries, with a focus on minimizing shipping expenses while maintaining high service standards for all customers.

As a vital member of our organization, you will direct and manage our outbound shipping processes with our logistics partners and supervise the returns management of customer orders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the collaboration with our 3PL providers to guarantee accurate and efficient shipping of all packages.
- Analyze and assess distribution center performance metrics related to processing, shipping, and returns, holding the team accountable to established targets.
- Optimize returns management by coordinating with various vendors and platforms to deliver top-tier service and cost efficiency.
- Ensure fulfillment and carrier KPIs are met, including fill rates, on-time shipping percentages, average shipping times, and return unit metrics, to foster a positive customer experience.
- Conduct analysis and reporting on large data sets related to fulfillment and carrier performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee all outbound shipments, focusing on cost optimization, transit times, and service quality.
- Audit shipping carrier invoices to identify pricing discrepancies and manage claims.
- Facilitate effective communication and training within the internal team regarding shipping protocols.
- Utilize multiple SaaS systems for data integration and operational management.
- Manage reporting for fulfillment centers, including data analysis and communication across various teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, planning, customer service, merchandising, and production.
- Evaluate carrier performance to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
- Forecast shipping volumes and expenses based on historical data and financial projections.
- Generate innovative cost-saving strategies for outbound, inbound, and returns management.
- Initiate and lead new projects to advance our direct-to-consumer fulfillment strategy.
- Drive cross-network initiatives, ensuring compliance with standards and process alignment.
- Coordinate wholesale shipments, ensuring adherence to client routing guidelines and collaboration with logistics partners.
- Partner with product teams on inbound inventory management.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in management, business administration, or a related field, or five years of relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience in direct-to-consumer fulfillment, particularly in e-commerce, with a preference for apparel experience.
- Proven expertise in collaborating with 3PL providers for efficient parcel shipping.
- Familiarity with international shipping regulations, including customs and duties.
- Strong knowledge of distribution operations and merchandise flow.
- In-depth understanding of major shipping carriers and their services, including FedEx, DHL, UPS, and regional carriers.
- Experience negotiating contracts with shipping carriers and freight brokers.

Skills:
- Proficient in spreadsheet applications such as Excel and Google Sheets.
- Familiarity with EDI platforms is advantageous.
- Knowledge of customs processes and duty programs is a plus.
- Ability to manage and analyze large data sets from diverse sources.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing complex contracts.
- Experience with EDI, Shopify, PLM, and Amazon systems is beneficial.
- Capable of managing multiple projects with shifting priorities.
